about

"So, I was going to do what I usually do with these notes and be poetic and cheeky. However, on this occasion, I’ve decided against that. Rather, I’d like to share some backstory and thank some people
I was first exposed to CREEP CITY via Dylan Houser’s Quarantinefest, on which we were both virtually performing. It’s worth
mentioning just how weird these early days of COVID and lockdown were, and I think that these kinds of virtual festivals, of
which I was fortunate enough to participate in a handful, were a real high point and bright light. A feeling of community emerged around them, I think. Anyhow, I was particularly struck by the CREEP CITY set. It reminded me of the fantastic band CLUSTER without being directly referencing them. I was intrigued, to say the least!
Well, fast forward & Travis has reintroduced - or ended the hiatus of - POVERTY ELECTRONICS. He kindly credits me with giving him the idea of a duets series, inspired by my own series of that name (you can find these on my Bandcamp page, as well as the first volume on
the SOUNDS FROM THE CORRIDOR site, right here on Bandcamp).
Anyhow, as you may have guessed, I signed up for this and what do you know? Travis paired me with CREEP CITY. I could not have been happier.
It was a real pleasure working on this, and I hope you’ll enjoy the sounds herein! Huge thanks to Travis, but I’d also like to thank Jason (CREEP CITY) Irv for being so delightful during this process. Thanks
also go out to Scott Boatright, Lezet, Claire Furchick, Gordon Way, Kai "Toxic Chicken", C. Petkus, and so many others who offer their support and encouragement in these adventures. Bless. And may the future hold many delights ~!"
